Chapter News

Monday, July 11th, 2005: The July calendar is up, only one week late.  Points encounters are continuing apace, and will continue for the rest of the summer.  We are also planning a retreat for later in the summer, so keep your ears open.

Friday, June 17th, 2005: A lot's happened this year, though we unfortunately have not been using the website.  We'll be changing that, and Daniel Bader will be taking over the website full time.  We have a number of new members.  Santosh D'Souza, Heidi Fritz, Jen and Maeghan Huddart, and Linda Smith were all inducted into the club.  We have elected a new executive.  Dave Elliot, Daniel Bader and Andrew Chun have been reelected as president, vice-president and communications officer, respectively.  Linda Smith has been elected as our new treasurer, Jen Huddart has been elected as our new social convenor, and Heidi Fritz has been elected as our new Secretary.

Tuesday, September 7th, 2004: It's a brand new year.  We've continued with our points encounters over the summer and they've been very successful.  One piece of news is the Christine Matta has taken over from Denise Sacher as secretary, and will be taking over the website from Daniel Bader.  There will be a lot of events this year, including a lecture by William Slattery, L.C. on September 24th.  Check out our calendar.

Wednesday, March 10th, 2004:  It's been a busy term.  The March calendar is now up.  We were also recently featured in the Catholic Register.  Welcome to the site for anyone who read the article.  Congratulations to our new members, Christina Attard, Craig Burrell, Kathy van Driel, and Adam Hincks.

Thursday, January 22nd, 2004: The January and February calendars are both up.  We've tried to plan things as far ahead as possible this term.

Tuesday, December 9th, 2003: The December calendar is finally up.  Sorry for the delay; my comprehensive exams prevented me from working on the site.  I thank you all for your prayers.  In order to spread around responsibility somewhat, Denise Sacher will be taking over the website in the new term.

Tom Rosica, C.S.B called "The Church and the Secular Media: Lessons from World Youth Day 2002" at Hart House East Common Room, this Tuesday, November 25th at 3 P.M. Monday, September 22nd, 2003: Hurricane Isabel may have rained-out the picnic, but we still had a great pub night. Thank you all for coming out. The October Calendar is up, with the dates and times. Locations will be updated shortly.

Saturday, September 13th, 2003: The barbeque and general meeting were a great success!  Thank you all for coming.  Unfortunately, our retreat has had to be postponed, since the renovations at our site will not be completed by next weekend.  We have some more events coming up.  There will be a mass followed by a pot-luck picnic on Friday, September 19th at 5:10 and 5:45 P.M. respectively.  Compass members are helping to organise a 24-hour adoration, running from 8 P.M., Friday, September 26th to 8 P.M., Saturday, September 27th.
